This project will build a solar-powered Learning Hub in Kakuma Refugee Camp to provide 40 refugee youth with access to high-quality, flexible education. Through Brave Future's hybrid model-combining a digital platform, global subject mentors, and local facilitators-students will earn internationally recognized qualifications, develop critical skills, and gain real pathways to higher education, employment, and long-term self-reliance.
Kakuma is home to nearly 300,000 refugees, most of them children and youth. While education is a basic right, it remains out of reach for the majority. Without access to quality learning, refugee youth face a future of exclusion, dependence, and lost potential. Entire generations are at risk-not because they lack ability, but because they lack the opportunity to learn.
We will transform two shipping containers into fully equipped, solar-powered digital Learning Hubs that provide refugee youth with access to high-quality, internationally recognized education. Using a proven hybrid model that combines a self-paced digital platform, local learning mentors, and global subject experts, students receive the structure, support, and tools they need to learn, grow, and shape their futures. This is not just a solution-it's a sustainable model for systemic change.
This project will provide 40 refugee youth with access to education that is not only high-quality but life-changing. By earning internationally recognized qualifications and developing essential skills like digital literacy, self-directed learning, and critical thinking, students will gain real opportunities for higher education and employment. Over time, the Learning Hub will serve hundreds more, becoming a scalable solution for crisis-affected communities.
