Poor sanitary materials affect the social and mental well-being of females in low resource setting. Many use a health compromising material which undermines their safety and dignity. Research shows that girl's capacity to manage period is affected by lack of access to affordable hygiene materials, leading to school absenteeism, reduced level of concentration in class, low participation. Many are dissatisfy by the sanitary materials they could access thereby depriving girls' school days.
Our innovation fit beautifully into the low-middle resource setting feminine hygiene needs. It delivers exceptional leakage free, affordable, economy, quality, and safe pad for females. The reusable maternity pads deliver a safe option for postpartum women in low-middle resource setting. The geriatric reusable pad is exclusive for incontinent women. They are reliable, effective, efficient and exceptional because it is made from local content, accessible, available and affordable.
The reusable sanitary pad is made with a bright, pleasant and colorful 100% cotton fabric and sews with polyester thread. The innovation has two components, the shield that is washable, breathable and non-toxic. A liner made with serger and a normal sewing machine. The liner is the washable and absorbent part that is held in a place by the shield pockets which the shield snaps around the bottom of the panties. The shield pockets at the ends hold the liner in place. The liner style allow for easy washing and quick drying in sunshine (sunshine kills bacteria). The innovation designed last between three to four years with proper care.
