Drany Pad, reusable sanitary pad has increase access to clean and safe sanitary options and offers variety of sustainable solution and environmentally friendly feminine hygiene to rural school girls and adolescent girls in low resource setting Enugu. .
The reusable sanitary pad which last for 3 to 4 years, has create economic empowerment and opportunities for women and girls in low-middle resource setting to manage their menstruation and break the vicious cycle of poverty.
The initiative has supported and empowered school and out of school rural girls to manage their menstruation in safety, privacy and with respect and dignity without fear of leakage.
Girls have received back 180 school days that could have been lost because of poor menstrual hygiene practice, increase school enrolment and performance.
The women using the reuable sanitary pads currently work uninterrupted for hours and has the ability to unleash their full economic potential.
