On September 2022 Puerto Rico was once again struck by a hurricane that left floods, homelessness, crop failures and emotional scars on the families and communities of PR.

We are grateful to you all for your support after the passing of Hurricane Fiona through Puerto Rico. Certainly, without you we could not have achieved so much. Between September and December, we were distributing aid to organizations and churches around the island. These partnerships allowed us to distribute and impact thousands of families and communities. We are committed to keeping helping Puerto Rico and we are very thankful for your support.

Nothing more gratifying than the face of humble gratitude of the people who receive these supplies. Here we share them with you, because thanks to you this is possible.

Proud of our history

What began as an impulsive gesture to help our island during the passage of Hurricane Maria, has become an immense satisfaction to see the achievements and goals achieved.

Today, after 5 years of serving the neediest, we can say that despite the achievements, there is still much more to be done and that we continue with the same desire to continue contributing.  Thanks to the support and partnership of all of the PRROA (Puerto Rico Rises Allied Organizations) we can keep serving those in need.

Puerto Rico Rises' commitment is unwavering and we thank all of our donors and partners for their continued support.

We will keep going,

Sara

Dear donor,

What can we say about 2021 that hasn't been said? How difficult another year has been for everyone dealing with the pandemic.

For Puerto Rico Rises it has not been the exception. From the low in registered volunteers, as well as in donations. However, we have not stopped. We have continued against all odds carrying and distributing basic necessities and personal protection items from house to house, from hand to hand.

We thank everyone who has believed in us and made these achievements possible. And to you who with your contribution let us know that our work is felt.

Puerto Rico Rises and its over 125 allied organizations in PRROA carry out a mega distribution of personal protection equipment (PPE) covering the entire island of Puerto Rico.

Focusing our missions on disadvantaged populations with a high level of poverty, we seek to contribute our grain of sand and avoid the contagion or spread of Covid-19.

The satisfaction is immense to know that we reached those forgotten sectors providing equipment that, many of them, cannot afford, equipment and supplies necessary to protect their lives and their families.

We appreciate the support, dedication and effort of all the organizations that have joined in this project.

Our special thanks to Amazon who provided all these articles that give us the security and confidence of knowing that with their support we can say we fulfilled our mission by guaranteeing that help and supplies reached the hands of those who need it most.

Thanks for your support,

Sara Lopez

The past year was filled with individual, community, and/or business challenges for everyone globally.

Puerto Rico Rises was not exempt from facing them, but thanks to the unconditional support of our allies, volunteers, and followers, we managed our actions and were able to complete the impact detailed here.

At this time we are preparing the seventh phase of what we have called a mega distribution of articles in which we hope to reach one million people impacted.

Our programs* A tu Salud, De Mano a Mano, Con Tus Manos, and Alacena joined forces to carry out a mega distribution of articles around the entire Island. During the past year, we have impacted more than 575,000 people and we are now ready for the seventh round.

  • Thanks to our continuous, dedicated, and transparent work, we have been approved to distribute the following items during the next 3 months with the support of the 122 affiliated organizations that joined PRROA**.
  • 12 per week-40' container filled with food boxes approximate 200,000 boxes during the length of this project. Each food box provides food for 3 days for a family of 4.
  • 10,000 medical / surgery gowns
  • 8,000 facial masks
  • 10,000 hand sanitizers
  • 100,000 gallons of milk
  • Wheelchairs and medical equipment
  • Building material to 100 families

Thank you for your continuous support and help us to reach the 1Million impact goal.
