Estimado amigo (a)

Dear Friend,
Thanks to your support many stories of life are changing. Wendy is 12 years old girl with Down syndrome, who lives with her parents in a small town called Piojó, near to Barranquilla, Colombia. 2 years ago her possibilities were different. His family believed in her abilities, but unfortunately she didn’t have access to a quality education, or the support required to learn. She only went to school one or two hours a day, so her mom couldn’t work.
Liz, her mother knocked on our door and everything began to change for them. We included Wendy in a regular school and made her part of our afterschool program, we began to accompany her educational process; today she is one more in the school, and stays there during the whole day, Liz got a part time job and have more income, a lot has changed for the family.
Wendy’s story is just one of many that have been changing thanks to your contribution and our work, but there are other people with Down syndrome like her, waiting for an opportunity of inclusion.
We need to continue training teachers and guiding families , and we can only do that if you continue to accompany us . Thanks for supporting us and allowing us to keep changing life stories.
