Dear supporter

You are inspiring hope and creating change in people with Down syndrome life as supporters of Rethinking Down Syndrome in Colombia project. We understand change takes time and it’s not always easy to see. However, step by step we are falling down barriers and myths and raising a positive vision of person with intellectual disability.

Last February we took public transportation stations Transmetro with our campaign “accessibility is a right for everybody” On March we commemorate World Down Syndrome Day and our agenda is full of awareness activities.Last weekend we were invited to share a friendly rugby game, it was a great day that featured many young people a chance of interaction with our affiliates and we conducted a craft workshop for mothers and child.

We're ready for the activities to come, we will make a photo exhibition, a conference for parents, the place mats of our campaign “I´m like you” (Yo como Tu) will be at many restaurant tables during this month, and we will be giving away 5000 books in the community. The purpose: to bring the reality of people with intellectual disabilities, to common people, to promote a shift towards a positive vision.

Soon we will be telling you the results of all these activities that we perform thanks to people like you who support our work.

With warm regards,

Estimado donante
