Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for helping us get the music program in Clay, West Virginia off the ground. With your donations, we were able to secure training for the first 6 weeks of a brand new program that will bring more music into the classrooms in Clay, and will also help our trainer there, Tracy Wayne, connect the traditional Bluegrass players with the children in after school music clubs. The teachers are now meeting every Tuesday after school, learning guitar, learning to sing together, lead songs, and write their own lyrics for learning. We will keep you posted as things progress.
The work is far from over. So if you like the project and are inclined to help us sustain the work, I hope you will consider making another contribution on October 17 when your dollars will be matched! This will extend the teacher training into the late fall so children can learn holiday music and share the spirit of peace and love through music at that time.
Thanks again, we could not have gotten started without you!
Warm wishes,
Jess
