This project will carryout an inclusive domestic violence campaign in Jinja and Mayuge to enable reduce its effects and restore hope and dignity of 2500 the traumatized women due to violence.

Domestic violence has increased among families according to Uganda demographic Health survey statistics of 2008, 59% of women experienced violence since the age of 15.The project will empower 2500 victims of violence and local leaders with trainings on violence affects change attitudes towards violence , restore confidence, create a better environment for child growth in families in Mayuge


WORI will conduct trainings, radio talk shows on issues of violence monthly,disseminate educational materials in communities associated with violence and from community structures that prevent violence.Victims will access counseling and health care.

Long-Term Impact

the project will enable over 2500 women regain hope ,dignity and leave a better life which will accord them a chance to have stable families and be able to give their children care,love,support and contribute to development of their communities.
