Restore Hope: Empower Teen Moms Through Education

By Iyanuoluwa Ogundipe | Project Leader

We would like to sincerely thank our donors and GlobalGiving community for the continued interest and support for the “Restore Hope: Empower Teen Moms Through Education” project.

During this reporting period, the project has remained in its preparatory phase. While the need for educational support for teen mothers in our target communities remains urgent, we have not yet been able to commence on-the-ground activities due to insufficient funding to responsibly initiate implementation.

At this stage, launching partial activities without adequate resources could compromise program quality and sustainability. As such, we have taken a deliberate decision to wait until minimum funding thresholds are met before beginning beneficiary enrollment, educational support, and mentorship activities outlined in the project plan.

Although direct implementation has not yet started, the foundation has continued internal preparations, including:

  • Reviewing and refining implementation timelines to ensure readiness once funding improves

  • Engaging internally on safeguarding, monitoring, and reporting frameworks for teen mothers

  • Maintaining contact with potential community partners and educators for future rollout

These steps ensure that once funding becomes available, the project can be activated efficiently and with strong accountability.

Our priority remains to implement this project with integrity and impact. We are currently reviewing our fundraising strategy on the GlobalGiving platform to improve visibility and donor engagement, and we are seeking guidance on best practices to strengthen donor outreach.

We remain fully committed to the mission of restoring hope and educational opportunity for teen mothers and will continue to provide transparent updates on project status.

Thank you for standing with us and for believing in the importance of education and empowerment for vulnerable young women.

Warm regards,
Segun Aina Foundation
