Update on Project Status and Request for Guidance – Restore Hope: Empower Teen Moms Through Education

Dear GlobalGiving Team and Supporters,

Thank you once again for your continued support of the Restore Hope: Empower Teen Moms Through Education project.

Since our last update, we regret to share that there has been no significant development on the project due to a lack of additional funding. The total amount received to date remains $271, and this amount is not sufficient to kickstart even the preliminary activities outlined in our initial implementation plan.

As a small foundation, the success of this project is directly tied to available funds, and despite our best intentions and previous planning, we have been unable to move forward meaningfully due to this financial constraint.

We sincerely appreciate every donor who believed in this vision and contributed to it. However, in light of the funding gap and the lack of progress, we believe it is time to reflect and take the most responsible next step.

Request for Guidance:

We kindly seek guidance from the GlobalGiving team on the following:

  1. The process for formally canceling this project on the platform, since we have not been able to secure the minimum financial support required to begin implementation.
  2. Steps for refunding the amount received so far to donors, if that is feasible or in line with GlobalGiving’s policy.
  3. Any required documentation or compliance steps on our part should the cancellation and refund process be approved.

While this outcome is not what we hoped for, we remain committed to transparency and accountability. We value the GlobalGiving platform and the opportunities it provides for organizations like ours to raise support for critical causes. Should funding or circumstances change in the future, we would gladly revisit this project or similar initiatives.

Thank you again for your understanding and for all that you do to support nonprofits around the world.

Warm regards,
Iyanuoluwa Ogundipe
