                           HELP RESTORE EYESIGHTS TO 500 BANGLADESHIS

                           PROJECT REPORT_October, 2014.

Cataract operations are going on smoothly at our Karmirhath Hospital. Thanks to our overseas donors who donated through GlobalGiving Foundations. 1,130 eye patients received treatments during the last two months. 45 patients went through Cataract operations and got back their eye sights.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Case Studies: 

1. Laily  (Not her real name):

      Laily  is 60 years old and a widow. She has one son only. The son is married and has six children. The children being poor could support Laily who resorted to begging. Mean while, she developed cataract in both of her eyes. She did not make any attempt to treat her eyes as she had no money.  One days she came to know about Karmirhath Eye Hospital where cataract operations are done without any money from poor patients. At the hospital, her cataract was removed from both of her eyes. She is very grateful to Karmirhath hospital and to those who provided fund for such operations.

1. Amir (Not his real name):

Amir, aged 72 years, hails from David Companypara, Gaibandha. Though he has eight children, none can support him as all are very poor. There is none to look after him.  A few years ago, he developed cataract in both of his eyes. Doctors suggested operations. As he is very poor, he was unable to manage fund for his  operation. Following the advices of his neighbors he one day came to             Karmirhath Hospital. After necessary tests, Cataract operations were performed     on both of his eyes in two occasions. Amir got back eye sights on both of    his eyes.
