PROJECT REPORT
January 01, 2012
Two Eye Camps were organized in the rural areas. 52 cataract patients were detected. Cataract operations were performed on these patients.
Nazrul Islam, 64, was one of the patients who got back his eye sights.
“I was blind on both the eyes for about 4 years. I lost my earning abilities besides being unable to see my children and other family members. I did not know that my eye sights could be restored by surgery. I got the chance when there was an eye camp organized by the Karmirhath Hospital near my village. The camp-organizers took me along with others to the hospital after examining my eyes at the camp.
Cataract surgery were performed on both of my eyes after an interval of one month. Now I am a very happy person as I now can earn my livelihood and see my dear and near ones.
I am very grateful to those overseas donors who donated through GlobalGiving website for cataract surgery.”
Nazrul Islam.
