Jamila Begum, 37, is one of 36 cataract patients whose cataracts were removed by Phaco Surgery on June 29, 2011 at our Karmirhath Hospital. Mother of 3 kids, she was having problems in seeing things around her including her kids. Now after surgery, she is very happy to see her kids again and doing her normal house-hold work.
Like Jamila Begum, we picked up a total of 36 poor cataract patients in July last through holding eye camps in remote rural areas.
We procured a brand new Operation Microscope for performing phaco surgery. The costly instrument was sponsored by our regular US based donor, North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community (NABIC). We are now able to serve our patients in better ways.
