There are three Schools for Deaf Ande Children in Kindu. Two schools are private and only one is public and belongs to Catholics; poor parents send their children to this school which is now in a state of disrepair ;
When it rains, classes stop because the house oozes everywhere, several children occupy the same bench, which is dangerous with several diseases . , latrines are clogged ....
These poor conditions discourage parents and children.
Solution
The Project restores the 4 classrooms, provides the school with benches and chairs and unclogs the latrines. This work will improve the study conditions of the 67 vulnerable children and encourage parents to keep their children at this school for training
Long-term impact:
The Project will restore 4 classrooms; this will create acceptable human conditions for the training of the 67 vulnerable children.
the rehabilitated infrastructure will be used for a long time to train many other deaf and dumb children whose poor parents did not want to send to school because of these poor conditions.
Unfortunately, the Project did not raise any funds during the period covered by this report, which is unfortunate and disappointing. We are in the middle of the rainy season. The photos taken today show the seriousness of the situation, which remains without a solution. It is really discouraging.
