RespAct project weeks in Hamburg

In December 2014 and January 2015 started 5th grade school children with the RespAct project in drei schools in Hamburg. Children were discovering their neighbourhood and developing ideas to improve their neighbourhood, where most of the students not only go to school, but also live with their families and spend most of the time with their friends after school.

This time children's ideas concerned e.g. more support for refugees and their families, renovation of buildings and streets as well as school facilities. Children also demand more police taking care of safety in their neighbourhood. On Friday, 8 May, primary school students will have a chance to discuss their ideas with representatives of police, local government, public transport, teachers, youth workers and other decision makers in their city who would like to support children with implementation of their ideas.

Both project weeks and "Kiezgipfel" (the RespAct summit organized at the end of each project weeks cycle) would not be able to happen without YOUR SUPPORT. We believe that our work brings change to the society and thanks to your involvement we have the chance to reach more schools and children with our programme and thus improve quality of their everyday life. We are exited about the RespAct summit and will be happy to inform you soon about the outcomes.

Best wishes,

Your RespAct Team
