Nasimiyu finally joins form one

After the long suffering of finding support from well wishers to support her education was in vain. Nasimiyu has finally managed to get support from Juhudi children which will support her education for four years. She has joined secondary school persue her education. As Juhudi children we have accepted to support her fully.
The girl come from a humble background living with a single mother, who works as casual worker in the peoples farms. They can only afford two meals a day.
As Juhudi Children we want appreciate our able donors and well wishers for your generosity. We have made us reach more vulnerable girls in the community.God bless you abundantly.

Keeping girls safe during exam

Most girls face alot of challenges in school. This include lack of essential ot basic needs like sanitary towels,pencils,books and food during exam period. This has affected their performance since they dont concentrate in class work. Some miss school because of this essential items. Most of this girls comes from poor family background where they cannot afford to buy. As Juhudi organisation we have encountered such cases from the schools that we work with. This year before the kick-off of the National examinations we decided to suprise the girls with package of sanitary towels and exam requirement plus lunch. We managed to reach five primary schools which all girls in class 8 and grade 6 benefited. Although it was not enough for them but it will sustain them during exam period. It is our wish to reach more girls in other schools but we cannot support them all due to financial problem. Despite all we want appreciate our well wishers,donors and cooperate for their continued support towards the project. We are looking forward to get more resources that will enable us support more needy girls.
This year has been a difficult year for us. We have been short of funds but the litle we got it has sustain our project. We have that next year will be a great year with blessing. We appreciate our able donors for walking with us this year. We urge to continue with that spirit.
Our next year project;
- Rescuing girls from early marriages annually
- children voices festival in April 2023

Girls leadership empowerment

Girls empowerment is one of our co-mandate. We give girls opportunity to be leaders in different capacities they have trained.Some of them are leaders in schools and in the church.During this holiday we organised 3 days leadership training for them. We trained them on how to be good leaders at the school. Girls from different schools that we work with came together to share their experiences and expectations as future leaders. Just to mention a few; they expect to be great leaders and in different capacities. That they will teach their peers and assist them achieve their goals.
The training helped them to express themselves and shared their challenges.Some of the challenges they outlined are; lack of sanitary towels,personal effects,exposure e.t.c.
As organisation we have decided to engage in this training sessions and assist the with basic needs they need so that they can stay in school.I want to thank you our donors for your continued support towards this girls project.The demand and expectations are high from them but the little resources we get from the well-wishers will assist them.Thank you so much.
