As we begin this new period, we want to sincerely thank you for continuing to walk alongside us on this journey. Your support not only helps sustain our daily operations; it also allows this work to continue growing and responding to the needs of both the animals and our community.

During the first quarter of 2026, CRESCA continued operating as an active space for animal welfare, prevention, and community support in Santa Rosalía.

Between January and March, the following was achieved:

• 237 free spay and neuter procedures promoted and organized by our team, and performed by veterinarians from the State Health Department.
• 10 rescues of dogs and puppies in vulnerable situations.
• 6 successful responsible adoptions.

Spay and neuter efforts continue to be one of the most humane and effective ways to reduce the population of stray animals and prevent long-term animal suffering.

For this reason, it has been incredibly valuable to see how Baja Mobile Steri-Vet continues bringing sterilization campaigns to communities across the municipality thanks to the donations and support they independently secure. Their commitment, together with the support of the Health Committee and the coordination with the State Health Department, has made it possible for these campaigns to now take place regularly within our community.

Although many of these efforts are not directly led by our organization, we actively collaborate by promoting campaigns, organizing schedules, guiding families, and in many cases even helping transport pets so they can access these services.

Fourteen years ago, when we first began speaking about animal welfare and community sterilization, this reality felt very far away. Today, seeing active campaigns, institutional collaboration, and a community that is increasingly involved fills us with hope and reminds us that real cultural change can truly be built little by little.

During one of the cleanup campaigns organized as part of our environmental actions, our team found an abandoned mother dog together with her five puppies in an isolated area without nearby access to water or food. The family was rescued and brought to safety, where they received food, care, and shelter.

Currently, a large portion of our resources is directed toward essential operating costs such as food, medical care, tick prevention, water, maintenance, and caregiver salaries. For this reason, every contribution we receive makes an enormous difference.

During this period, we also continued improving CRESCA’s facilities. Gates and enclosures were reinforced for greater safety, additional preventive fumigation efforts were carried out, and we continued planting trees to create natural shaded areas and improve conditions during the hot season.

Daily work inside CRESCA never stops. Every day involves cleaning, feeding, medical attention, monitoring, and care so that the 63 animals currently living with us can have a safe, clean, and dignified space while they wait for a new opportunity.

Beyond the numbers, something equally important continues to grow: community involvement. More people are approaching the project, participating in preventive actions, and becoming involved in conversations about animal welfare and responsible care.

None of this would be possible without your generosity.

Every donation becomes food, medical care, prevention, rescue, and new opportunities for animals that otherwise might never receive help.

We would also love to ask you for one small favor that means so much to us: helping us share our project with others.

If you would like to support us even further, we invite you to share our link with friends, family members, or people who, like you, may feel connected to this cause and wish to become part of the change we are building together.

Every person who learns about our work represents a new opportunity to continue helping animals and strengthening the wellbeing of our community.

Thank you for believing in this work.
Thank you for standing with us once again.
And thank you for helping us demonstrate that even in small and remote communities, change is possible when people decide to work together.

With gratitude,
