September has been a fantastic month for adoptions. There is such an outpouring of love for these homeless cats, that they are being adopted in pairs: Magoo and Priss, Lee Ann and Lou Ann, Reynold and Marley, Shiner and Slappy, Newton and Teddy G.; each adopted along with their best friend.
Though each of these Kitties has a story to be told, Magoo’s story will exemplify the love and compassion of all who care so much about cats.
Magoo was a 2 ½ month old kitten when she was rescued by a Good Samaritan. The little kitten was in such pathetic condition; abandoned, hungry, weighed only 6oz, and had a serious eye infection. She was taken to New Beginnings Cat Rescue’s veterinarian for treatment. It was determined that, as a result of the eye infection, she is nearly blind. In spite of her limited eye sight, she will be able to live a good life. While in her foster home, Magoo quickly learned to find her food and litter box with no trouble and was playing, climbing, jumping and doing all the usual kitty antics. It was evident that this little kitten was ready to be adopted. She was brought to the adoption center and on Sunday, September 18th, Miss Magoo began her new life with her forever family.
