Rescue Orphaned & Injured Animals in the Amazon

Dear Supporters,

Donors like you have helped CIWY survive some very difficult setbacks in the past 2 years. Our volunteer programme is just starting to bounce back, as travel restrictions ease, but donations continue to account for CIWY’s largest source of funding. Somewhat miraculously, the three sanctuaries have not gone a day without sufficient food and medicine for the 500+ animals in our care, and we thank you for making that possible.

Construction is moving along at Jacj Cuisi and we have now made three successful transfers of animals from Machia. There is still much more to build, however, before we can move the rest of the animals to their new home in the “Land of Dreams.”

Anonymous Matching Donor:

You may be aware that we have a separate GlobalGiving page devoted to the Jacj Cuisi Construction and Move. An anonymous donor in the UK has been supporting that project with very generous matching donations.

At the end of 2021, when the page reached £10,000 ($13,500 USD), they matched it with another £10,000! (Paid mostly through bank transfer.)

Then they matched the next £5,000 raised and pledged to do so again, up to 3 more times, with a deadline of April 1.

That’s just 15 days away! A 100% match is a rare opportunity and we sure hope to take advantage of this generous pledge!
