Groupe Scolaire Busogo I–Saint Benoit, a Catholic day school in Busogo Sector, Musanze District, serves 2,358 students, including 1,163 girls. Many students come from low-income families, making it difficult for girls to access sanitary materials. Consequently, some girls miss classes during menstruation due to discomfort, embarrassment, and lack of privacy and support. The school plans to renovate and equip a Girls' Day Support Room at a cost of $6,360. The room will provide a safe, private, and hygienic space for girls to manage menstruation, rest, receive counseling, access basic health support, and obtain emergency sanitary materials. The project will reduce absenteeism, improve hygiene, confidence, attendance, participation, and academic performance, supporting girls' education and future opportunities.
