In the past months, volunteers from Remote Reading Fellows continued to send children picture books to more left-behind children in impoverished areas, centred on healthy life themes.
With the support of donors and volunteers, we have:
served 110 primary students from the Yire primary school in Sichuan impoverished areas produced e-books with audios version for lower-grade students;
engaged 54 volunteers, contributing 180 hours of service;
also leverages the resources of educational foundations to fund children's toothpaste so that children can receive appropriate material support as they learn and build healthy habits.
Feedback by the students from Yire Primary School in Sichuan:
"I think it's fun to read picture books with aunts and uncles that I haven't met."
"I'm looking forward to picture book class and having fun reading together."
“When I grow up I want to read to children too.”
With these voice in mind, we aim to extend this meaningful and engaging reading experience to more schools and children in need. We would like to thank you for your support and look forward to your continued interest in the coming year.
