Reading, a key to STEM learning

By Chloe Liu | ED

In the first quarter of 2024, we continued the project and expanded on the original storytelling accompaniment to include the topic of illustrated science books for younger children.

[STEM Picture Book Theme]

Accompanying younger schoolchildren through storytelling, making up for the missing resources of home and school guidance in the learning process of left-behind children, and making up for the regret of the lack of local STEM education resources. Through the project, all the use of voice interpretation with the interesting stories in the picture books to interpret STEM knowledge, guiding the children to better appreciate the charm of science and cultivate curiosity about the world.

Thanks to all the donation and people support us, we have:

  • served 217 students from Yijar primary school in Sichuan impoverished areas;
  • donated 75 records and e-book sets;
  • engaged 70 volunteers, served 1,400 hours of service.

We are planning to support more left-behind children in China and connect them with more diversifed reading fellows' voices with different reading theme. Thanks again for your attention and we are looking forward to your continuous support in 2024!
