Since June 26, 2025 Pakistan has faced relentless monsoon rains and sudden cloudbursts, causing deadly floods that claimed 657 lives, injured 929 people, destroyed 2,462 houses, and washed away 152 bridges. Districts i-e Mansehra, Swat, Shangla, Neelum lie devastated, with the water streaming downhill bringing heavy stones and submerging villages. Families grieve losses, children are left homeless, and livelihoods ruined. The government has urgently appealed for donations as the damage is huge.
Floods and cloudbursts in Pakistan have unleashed devastation-claiming countless lives, sweeping away villages, displacing families, and leaving millions in despair. This is not just a natural disaster; it's the harsh reality of climate change hitting vulnerable communities the hardest. Urgent action is needed to respond, rebuild, and build resilience before more lives and futures are washed away.
This project will first provide urgent rations to flood-affected families who have lost homes, livelihoods, and access to healthcare. Once immediate hunger is addressed, we will assess on-ground needs to deliver essential support in shelter, health, and livelihood recovery. This phased approach ensures that families not only survive today but can rebuild with dignity, resilience, and hope for the future.
This project will create lasting change by first meeting urgent needs rations, shelter, healthcare, and livelihood support and then helping families rebuild with dignity. By assessing further needs, it will restore income sources, improve housing and health services, and enhance disaster preparedness. Children and vulnerable groups will regain stability, while communities grow more resilient, self-reliant, and better equipped to face future floods and climate shocks.
