Extreme flooding devastated many regions of Colorado; entire towns were cut off from evacuation and support. The damage is catastrophic; most survivors were without flood insurance, simply because they were not in flood areas; not until the fires took away their barriers. Do Your Part is dedicated to bringing support to Survivors, including short term relief supplies for immediate needs, temporary housing, and long term case management as Colorado works towards recovery.
Authorities in Colorado encountered many challenges providing assistance and aid as dozens of roads were closed due to flash flooding or were completely washed out. Thousands of people and entire communities were in danger. Many survivors face the fact they had no flood insurance, because prior to all the fires, these houses were not considered in flood areas. The communities of Colorado are in need of short term disaster relief and long term recovery as the holiday season approaches.
Do Your Part is a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting disaster relief and recovery domestically and abroad. Through the administration of our Colorado Facebook page, and coordination with relief workers, partner organizations, and volunteers on the ground, we are actively assisting with the response to this disaster. All funds will be used to benefit the survivors of the flood through immediate relief and long term recovery, along with holiday giving for the children.
By funding this project, you will be supporting the long term recovery of communities all over Colorado. Funds raised will be made available to the uninsured, the under-insured, the elderly, those with special needs, children, veterans, and injured animals impacted by the floods through Case Management. Our goal is to provide support to those that have the most critical needs.
