Progress report 2021

Our organization has provided 4m interest-free microloans to the most underprivileged members of our society. A significant number of borrowers who were taking care of themselves and their families by running their small businesses are now facing hardships due to the current Corona Virus Crisis. Please help us support them by providing 2-3 months work of food and supplies so that after the crisis is over, they can go back to their businesses otherwise will not survive.

Our 4m borrowers are not only self-employed but also engaged other family members who otherwise would be jobless but also add economic value to the economy. If they were to lose their businesses in order to survive this pandemic, It would have a huge impact on unemployment and economic activities in their respective communities.

In 2020 , we were extremely delighted to receive such an encouraging response from Pakistani Americans and their support for initiatives like interest-free micro finance.

However, In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic brought the entire world to a stand still. In these testing times, generous people from across the world came together to help those in need. Their generosity in the form of time and money has created a great impact in the lives of many people and reinforced the concept of brotherhood.

Your generosity has made a remarkable impact in the lives of these people and we truly value your support. I would like to thank all of our donors for their continued support for Akhuwat's mission and hope that you will continue playing your role in creating a better world for all.

COVID-19 has hit the extreme poor more than any of us. As we all practice social distancing let us not distance ourselves from the most vulnerable whose survival depends on our generosity.

As a response to the war against coronavirus, Akhuwat is providing relief to the most vulnerable, particularly old persons, daily wager laborers, and street vendors. Initially, we aim to support 100,000 families through several of our programs.
