The Emmanuel family has testimonies. God has done it again for them. The man of the house has hernia that he has had for so many years, he was operated on October 22, 218 at Mediservices Community Hospital Ipaja Lagos. Unfortunately it was dictected that he had ruptured appendix which was also operated on at the same time the hernia surgery was done. He was admitted in the hospital for 6days. The surgery was a success; recovery was very smooth and easy, no complications.

All the glory is to God. All these could have not been possible if not for God and the financial donation of our faithful donors. We are using this opportunity to thank everyone and Mediservices Hospital for all their care and support to the Emmanuel family. The family is very happy and appreciative of all the supports that they are getting from Hope Rising Homes Foundation over the last two years. The children remain in school doing excellently well.

Hope Rising Homes Foundation saying thank you, thank you and thank you to every one.

In all things we should give thanks, said Mrs. Emmanuel

The Emmanuels have gone through a lot of difficulties and  they are still going through however in different dimension. Remember in our last report on May 15, 2018, we mentioned on how the Emmanuels were presented with a Rick-Shaw (Maruwa) for transportation for empowerment in other for him to feed and maintain his family. Unfortunately on 2018, Mr. Emmanuel had an accident with his Rick-Shaw. Thank God he only sustained a minor injury but the Rick-Shaw was damaged. Mr. Emmanuel Presently using a motorcycle (Okada) for transportation. HRHF supported him with N25, 000 when he purchased the motorcycle. He

On May 26, 2018 Mrs. Emmanuel was hired by HRHF at the orphanage home as one of the care giver for the 9 children in the home and she’s allowed to bring her own 3 little children to work while her other 3 children are in school. She is very happy and appreciative of this opportunity.

The unpleasant situation that the Emmanuel are facing at this point is the fact that they have to move from their present 2 bed rooms apartment, where they currently resides to a one bed room with a living room on the 30th of August 2018. This was due to their landlord being very uncooperative, mean and petty with this family because their children are too many, the children makes so much noise while playing in the compound and so many other reasons that they were accused of, which were not true after our investigation. HRHF paid a sum of N200, 000 for this new apartment and moving expenses for this family. Prayerfully after this year’s rent paid by HRHF, the family will have been able to save enough money, have a good financial stability and pay for their next rent that will be due in September 2019.

Despite all the above mentioned challenges, the children are doing wonderfully well in school, feeding well, very healthy. No ER visits or hospitalization, praise God.

We really appreciate all our donors for giving this family a meaningful life. The Lord will not forget your labor of love.

On behalf of the Emmanuel family, we are saying a big thank you to all our donors for your continuous support, mostly your financial support. We couldn’t have been able to assist the family, if not for you. Our prayer is that, The Lord will not forget your labor of love. He will bless the work of your hands. Amen.

The Lord has been good to the Emmanuel family. Since the presentation of the Rick-Shaw to the family on December 29, 2018, Mr. Peter Emmanuel has been providing for his family, using the rickshaw to drop the children off at school in the morning and pick them up after closing. The children have not been missing school, their school grades has tremendously improved, according to their report cards. The family has been attending church services regularly. He expressed the joy of having his own business, has made him to be independent and care more about the welfare of his wife and children.

Presently, HRHF is taking on the responsibility of the health and wellness of the family as Mr. Emmanuel requires hernia surgery. This disease has been there for quite sometimes, however it has just been brought to HRHF’s personnel’s notice.  This disease has started to post treat to his health and work; he’s not able to sit for a longer period of time, experiencing pain now and then. HRHF has scheduled Mr. Emmanuel to see a Primary Care Physical who refers him to a surgeon.

Please let us keep this family in our prayers as well

Thanks a lot.

On September 15, 2017, life changed completly for the Emmanuels family, when they were relocated by Hope Rising Homes Foundation into a furnished 2 bedrooms flat in Ikola, Ipaja Lagos state, Nigeria. The family were very surprised and astonished, filled with tears of joy, on their knees shouting and praising God aloud. Mr. Emmanuel expecial, was not himself for couple of hour in disbeleive that this changes can actually happened to his family. The children were filled with joy, jumping on their bunk beds. This family now have a running water, electricity, bathrooms, a television, living room funishure, refrigirator, kitchen with gas cooker and utencils, which they never had before, where they were living in the hut built with plank in Okobaba, Ebute-Metta Lagos Nigeria. 2 months worth of groceries purshased and stored in the kitchen.

The Nation News Paper of Nigeria covered the event and tagged this as "Foundation lifts family of 8 out of poverty." Indeed that is what it's all about.

On September 18, 2017, the 3 school age children, started school at St. Andrew Prymary School Ipaja. Remember this children didn't attend school last year. The oldest boy that is 10years old was tested academically to determine the appropriate class to place him. To the principal and the teachers surprise, the boy passed the exam with flying colores and he was placed in Prymary 3. Comparing this family's current pictures with the previous pictures before their encounter with HRHF, there has been a significant changes in there appearances, outlook, mental allertness and hope has returned back to the Emmanuels family.

Getting the Emmanuel chidren settled in school, Monthly feeding, gas for the generator and to pump water every otherday into water tank, monthly electricity bill, staffs salary, transportation, office rent and misellaneous has cost HRHF $3,200.00 this quater.

The President of HRHF and the entire board of trustees, sincerly appreciate and thank all our donors that is making this possible for the Emmanuel family. The Lord will not forget your labour of love. We give God all the glory.
