While we whole hearted want to help in reducing maternal mortality rates in The Gambia, unfortunately we are at this point unsuccessful in our fundraising efforts for this project. We will take this opportunity to go back to the drawing board and map out how best to fundraise and reimagine ways in which we can be useful. The project didn't have much success in raising funds, therefore, we are at this point suspending the project. I hope that we can redesign the campaign for a better reach in order to carryout such an important project.
We have to rethink our fundraising reach. While efforts were made in reaching our circle of friends, family, and reliable donors, they just didn't come through this time. It is perhaps link to the current pandemic, where people are vulnerable resource wise, hence, they are less likely to contribute. However, we intend to reimage the project in ways that will bring about awareness and donors.
This present report is to highlight our shortcoming in meeting our goal in order to actualize project. We felt short in meeting our goals. This prevented us from carrying out our program by buying materials and providing trainings. This lead us to reach out to partner with a local hospital in order to see if they will be willing to assist us in our efforts. However, these are some of the ways we wish to better fundraise for our project moving forward. We have decided to reach out to more family and friends, write a weekly post on our Facebook page for a wider reach. This will prepare us for the upcoming Little by Little campaign for March. Hence, our goal is use the fundraising resources provided in our to reach our goal.
