Dear Supporters,
We appreciate your continued support for our Reducing Food Insecurity through Vegetable Farming project. Unfortunately, we’ve faced some challenges—many of the seedlings issued either dried out or were attacked by insects. Those who received seeds have also been unable to plant due to a prolonged dry season, making it difficult to establish crops. Despite these setbacks, the women remain eager to start their gardens once conditions improve.
To address these challenges, we are supporting farmers with pest management strategies, and monitoring weather patterns to determine the best planting time. We are also encouraging the use of sack gardens and other water-efficient farming methods to help mitigate climate-related risks.
Look out for more updates in the coming weeks.
