This project will reduce infant mortality in rural Ghana by improving access to maternal and newborn healthcare services. Many infants die from preventable causes due to inadequate healthcare, poor nutrition, delayed treatment, and limited access to skilled birth and postnatal care. This project will support vulnerable mothers and babies with essential healthcare services to improve survival and healthy development.
Infant mortality remains a major public health challenge in rural Ghana, where healthcare facilities are often understaffed and under-resourced. Many mothers lack access to prenatal care, skilled delivery services, and newborn healthcare, increasing the risk of complications and preventable deaths during the first year of life.
This project will provide maternal and newborn healthcare support, including prenatal services, safe delivery assistance, postnatal care, health education, and essential medical supplies. Community outreach programs will also help educate families on infant health, nutrition, and early healthcare seeking practices.
The project will improve infant survival rates, strengthen maternal healthcare, and promote healthier childhood development in rural communities. Families will gain better access to life-saving healthcare services and education. Over time, this will contribute to stronger healthcare systems and healthier communities across Ghana.
