We are pleased to update you on our campaign to create a networking space for young people in Liubomyryivka village, Shevchenkove community, Mykolaiv oblast, where we have currently raised $27 of our $24,560 target and remain committed to continuing fundraising until we reach our full goal. The village was temporarily occupied during the conflict, with its population dropping from 641 residents to just 212 today, including 31 children who need safe spaces for development. Large-scale shelling destroyed the school, village hall, and administrative building, leaving only the rural health post as a community gathering place.
Thanks to previous GlobalGiving support, this essential building underwent crucial repairs this summer, including restoration of floors, walls, and the electrical system. Two experienced activists from Kolomyia and Lviv have joined local leaders to help restore the community's social infrastructure.
We are now raising funds to transform one of the rooms in the renovated health post into a dedicated youth networking space. This initiative will provide young people with a safe, supervised environment for meetings, learning, and community engagement activities essential for the village's social recovery.
