Photo Camp Puerto Rico: Documenting Recovery

Student Photographer with Her Subject

Since our last report, the InfoAsAid team continues to put out a weekly newsletter. Last week Contigo: Experiencias Communitarias sent an edition focused on Vieques, with stories about an underwater clean up effort at Mosquito Pier, an interview with the Director of Scientific Research and Community Relations at the Vieques Conservation and Historical Trust, and local stories of resilience and rebuilding in the municipality.
We are also excited to share this article about our recent photo camp with National Geographic! National Geographic sent three professional photographers to spend a week with local college students and the InfoAsAid team to create photo essays documenting life in four locations across Puerto Rico. You can see some of their photos here, but click to the article to read more including some photo essay highlights!
Thank you again for your support and happy new year from the Internews InfoAsAid team!
