Challenge

The Bume Primary school was build about 90 years ago. Since the building of this school, both the walls and the roofing have never seen any form of renovation, and as a result, the entire building has become a death trap. There are big cracks all over the walls - some parts are completely broken off. Part of the roof has been blown away by rain storms over the years, whiles the wood panels used for the roofing are becoming rotten and are therefore decaying.

Solution

This project will take immediate action to reinforcement the walls and the roof of the building, whiles working to source funds to reconstruct a new school building in partnership with the community and other interested organizations.

Long-Term Impact

Education is the key for development and breaking the cycle of poverty, hence this project when funded will increase school enrollment. Many parents will be more than happy to send the children to the a school with good infrastructure.
