By Asssociacao Polo Universitario Santo Antonio | Rebuilding Brazilian schools Cyclone Relief Fund
Hello, friends!
It is with immense joy that we share the outcome of our recent endeavor. In the month of June this year, significant weather events struck our town. Two schools - Soneca Municipal Kindergarden School and Nossa Senhora de Fatima Municipal Elementary School - in the municipality of Santo Antônio da Patrulha, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, were almost destroyed. Together, these schools cater to approximately 530 children and students, with half of them attending full-day classes. These schools provide educational opportunities and learning and ensure food security and well-being for their students by offering meals throughout the day. However, the recent catastrophe left them in a vulnerable state.
Nevertheless, through this project, we reached out to compassionate individuals who generously helped us, and these schools managed to recover and resume their activities rapidly because of you. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to each one of you for your crucial support. Your significant assistance played a vital role in making this project a success.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are delighted to share some photos that capture how these educational institutions looked after the passage of the extratropical cyclone and how they stand today after the contributions from all those who were touched by the project.
Gratitude,
The APUSA Team
