A devastating flash flood has struck Buner District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan, leaving 167 people dead, over 1,000 houses destroyed, and more than 10,000 people severely affected. Families have lost shelter, livelihoods, and their loved ones. Children are the worst hit - 250 school children are directly impacted, with many missing, and an entire school washed away. This project will provide urgent relief (shelter, NFI kits, safe water, mosquito nets, cooking sets) & Child Protection.
Flash floods swept through villages, destroying homes, schools, and community infrastructure. * Families are living without shelter, exposed to disease and insecurity. * Children have lost schools, safe spaces, and in some cases, their parents. * The risk of waterborne diseases (diarrhea, malaria, dengue) is rising due to stagnant floodwater and lack of clean drinking water. * Survivors urgently need basic essentials to survive and to begin rebuilding their lives.
Through this campaign, Sanash Welfare Foundation (your organization) will: Provide NFI Kits (blankets, mats, kitchen sets, hygiene kits) to families. Distribute mosquito nets to protect against vector-borne diseases. Supply safe drinking water and water containers. Distribute emergency cooking items so families can prepare meals. Provide tents for displaced families who lost their homes. Deliver psychosocial support sessions to children coping with loss, trauma, and uncertainty.
By meeting immediate needs and providing psychosocial support, this project will: Help families regain dignity and stability in the aftermath of the flood. Reduce risks of disease outbreaks by providing safe water and mosquito nets. Enable children to recover emotionally and gradually reintegrate into education. Strengthen community resilience by ensuring people have the tools to rebuild their lives.
