A Library will be built at a community center located in Chaco province, Argentina, benefiting 70 at risk children and their families and 13 teachers and community leaders will be trained.
The present project will be implemented in an region with one of the lowest education levels in Argentina. It is intended to improve the living conditions of 70 children who live in marginal conditions so that they can be better prepared to break the poverty cycle. The work with communities intends to help them become aware of their potential, so that they can create their own social promotion and become agents of change.
Reading Promotion and Literacy are key to development, educational success and future social insertion of children who live under high social risk. For this reason, Fundación Leer provides the necessary resources and training.
13 teachers and community leaders will be trained and a Library will be created at the center with 300 new books for the daily work of 70 children and their families. The center will be transformed in an effective literacy environment for the kids.
