This project will access the youth with fewer opportunities with books for reading and researching as well as promoting reading culture among them. UYSTO plans to ship the books donated to us by books2africa and put in place a container that would be modified for a safe place to sit in and read. The youth will be accessed with readily available library services and hope that this will address the question of "The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book" by Malcom X
Our youths who are schooling within the poor urban schools and in rural areas , do not have access to books for reading for pleasure, research and even Malcolm x's statement of "If you want to hide something from a Black...put it in a book" is manifested among our future generation. In these areas (poor urban and rural schools) do not have access such services and this has affected a lot towards research and development, innovative ideas and creativity. This is worsening with internet tax
UYSTO intend through this project to solve the problem of not having readily available library for the rural and poor urban schools undergoing students, scarcity of research books, hiding information from African youths specially in Uganda as well as showing the values and importance of reading and acquiring information for the development of our country Uganda
Improved means of accessing information. Strengthened, informed and determined youths for robust research for development. Strengthened culture of reading among the future generation in Uganda. Readily available source of library services to the communities we serve.
