Distribution of Food Packages during floods 2025 in Maskeenabad
The devastating floods of 2025 significantly impacted the poorest communities of Rawalpindi. The worst affected were Maskeenabad in Union Council Jalal Din, as well as villages in Dhoke Chowdrian, Jabba, Bostan Valley, Eastridge Extension, and the adjacent areas. The houses are built in areas where there are no arrangements for floods. The government was not able to reach these areas and the families were deeply affected as a result.
NHSD team, through the efforts of you, benevolent donor, was able to achieve its targets through persistent endeavors to help them. These families are utilizing services from our schools established in their areas where the enrolled children – all of them out-of-school as a result of extremely high fees in other schools, as well as the high cost of pic-and-drop – are provided free-of-cost education alongside significant services such as uniforms, stationary, books, free pick-and-drop as well as meals and exam registrations.
Through our endeavors, NHSD has distributed food packages to 100 families in the above mentioned areas. The food packs would ensure that the families are able to have sustainable nutrition for a week.
Network for Human and Social Development is grateful to our donors for their constant support and are focused towards supporting our communities.
Our endeavors now focus towards the construction of a school in Feroza, Rahim Yar Khan, which will ensure that the out-of-school children there have an opportunity for free-of-cost education in a state-of-the-art building in the vicinity. This endeavor will benefit from such efforts.
Provided is a photo gallery which updates everyone about our efforts.
