During the holy month of Ramadan, Aseel continued its humanitarian efforts to support vulnerable and low-income families across Afghanistan. With many families facing financial difficulties and struggling to afford their daily food needs, the Ramadan response focused on providing essential food assistance and ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families could have access to meals during the holy month.
As part of the Ramadan activities, 500 meal boxes were distributed every day to people in need. Each meal box included one serving of Qabili Pulao, two dates, one bottle of clean drinking water, and one apple. These meals were prepared and distributed to provide immediate food assistance to individuals and families who were struggling to afford sufficient food during Ramadan.
In addition to the daily meal distributions, Aseel and its partner organizations provided food packages to more than 1,500 vulnerable families. These packages included essential household food items such as flour, rice, cooking oil, beans, chickpeas, salt, tomato paste, spaghetti, macaroni, sugar, cream, cheese, and milk. By providing a combination of staple foods and other essential items, the packages helped families prepare meals at home and reduce some of the financial pressure associated with purchasing food during Ramadan.
The assistance mainly reached widowed women, orphaned children, people with disabilities, and low-income families who were facing serious economic challenges. Many of these households have limited or unstable sources of income, making it difficult to meet their basic food needs. The distributions were therefore designed to prioritize people who were most vulnerable and in need of immediate support.
The Ramadan response provided more than just food assistance. For many families, receiving a meal or a food package meant having one less immediate concern during a difficult economic period. It helped families maintain access to essential food while allowing them to observe Ramadan with greater comfort and dignity.
The implementation of the distributions was made possible through the collaboration between Aseel, AidOS-registered organizations, and local teams working with communities across Afghanistan. This collaboration helped ensure that assistance could reach vulnerable people in different areas and that food support was delivered to families and individuals who needed it most.
Through these Ramadan activities, Aseel and its partner organizations were able to provide practical and timely support to vulnerable communities. The distribution of daily meals and food packages helped address immediate food needs while also strengthening community support for families experiencing economic hardship.
Aseel is grateful to the donors, partner organizations, local teams, and everyone who contributed to making this Ramadan assistance possible. With continued support, Aseel can continue working with local partners to reach vulnerable communities and provide essential assistance during times of need.
