Last week we opened the Asni boarding houses to 100 children, this will grow to our full capacity of 516 in the coming weeks! Thanks to your generous donations all our children have a safe, hygenic and comfortable mattresses to sleep on.
One change occured from our original plan, with different mattresses being supplied for the upper and lower bunkbeds, this was due to hieghts of the mattresses and saftey concerns, however both types of matress have been created to the highest standard.
The children have been able to sleep comfortably and safely, this is vital to our aim of creating a warm and welcoming home for them. Most importantly this will aid them in the educational journey, we all know how important sleep is to cognitive function! Thank you from the bottom of hearts!
Now we have all the nessesities for a boarding house, we need to create a home! We are creating extra curicular activies and programmes to support the children in their school learning and to make them all rounded individuals. This will be the first time our children, the poorest of the Al Haouz region, will have the opportunity to take part in such activities and will allow them to discover their interests and passions!
