In Pakistan, millions of vulnerable families are entering Ramadan facing severe food insecurity. Rising inflation and unemployment have pushed basic food items beyond reach for many households. Parents are forced to choose between food, rent, and medical needs. During Ramadan, when Iftar and Suhoor are essential and prices rise further, these hardships intensify. Without timely support, countless families in Pakistan will struggle to fast with dignity and may go to bed hungry.
This project will address food insecurity in Pakistan by distributing urgent Ramadan food packs to the most vulnerable families. Each food pack contains essential staples to support Iftar and Suhoor, ensuring families can observe Ramadan with dignity. Timely distribution will immediately reduce hunger, ease financial pressure on households, and provide relief during the critical Ramadan period.
This project will contribute to food security relief by reducing immediate hunger and preventing negative coping strategies among vulnerable families. By ensuring access to basic food during Ramadan, households can redirect limited resources toward health, education, and livelihoods. Continued support and strengthened community resilience will help families become more stable and less vulnerable to future food crises.
