Summary

Time is running out f, 500 pupils at our school who face daily struggles due to a lack of clean water. Without immediate action, these children will continue to battle waterborne diseases, miss school, and risk falling further behind in their education. Every day without clean water puts their health & future at risk. We need your help now to complete this rainwater harvesting system before the next rainy season. Your donation can save lives and secure a better future for these children.

Challenge

Limited access to clean water coupled with a high percentage of earnings on water reduces overall household income, limiting opportunities to build savings and break the cycle of poverty. And many families living in rural areas spend more than 30 minutes walking to collect the water their families need, taking time away from work and school. This is no different situation for school pupils and their home steads. They share water dam source with animals-cows, goat &sheep a health threat to lives.

Solution

-This project will provide access to safe and clean water 24/to school pupils and staff during school days. -Reduction in waterborne diseases by over 90% since we shall our tanks secured safely within school premises. -Increase in class attendance by pupils since no more long distance movements to fetch water. -Timely preparation of meals for teachers and pupils in boarding section. -It will motive pupils to always be in school , majority look at fetching water as a punishment due distance -

Long-Term Impact

This project will give access to clean and safe water to our school pupils 500 as end of year 2024 and over 15 teaching staff. There will be reduction in water borne disease by over 90%.It will also create more time for pupils to be classes with no interruptions to fetch water from the dam where chances of any school child drowning were 50%. In the event we hit our fundraising target, and put a bore hole, this will support over 1000 school community to access clean water too.
