Dear Donors,
We are pleased to share the latest updates on our school construction project at Ogunpa Lunloye. We are happy to announce that we have successfully completed the substructure stage of the project. This marks a significant milestone in our journey to provide a conducive learning environment for the children in this community. We have now transitioned into the next critical phase—the development of the superstructure.
To facilitate the smooth execution of this stage, we have begun producing the required bricks on-site. By moulding the bricks locally, we aim to reduce transportation costs and ensure a steady supply of materials. This approach also supports the local economy by providing employment opportunities for skilled laborers in the community.
While we are excited about the progress, we acknowledge that this phase has taken longer than initially anticipated. The earlier highlighted challenge of unstable weather conditions during the rainy season, which lasted from June through September, significantly affected our work schedule. The heavy rains and the riverine nature of the site made access difficult, as the roads leading to the project site became slippery and marshy, hindering the movement of materials and machinery.
Despite these challenges, we remain committed to maintaining momentum and delivering quality results. We are carefully coordinating logistics and closely monitoring material production to ensure we stay on track as we advance into the superstructure phase.
Key Updates:
Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude for your continued support and generosity. Your contributions have been instrumental in helping us navigate challenges and achieve milestones. Together, we are building a brighter future for the children of Ogunpa Lunloye, and we look forward to sharing more progress with you as we move closer to completing this important project.
Thank you for being a part of this transformative journey.
