Dear Donors and Supporters,
We are excited to provide you with an update on the progress of the St. Michael RCM school project in Ogunpa Lunloye. Throughout February, significant strides were made as we established project management and construction teams. These teams have diligently worked on setting timelines, allocating roles and responsibilities, and selecting appropriate building materials suited for the riverine area of Ogunpa. Additionally, detailed drawings and specifications were developed by our appointed architect, laying the groundwork for the construction phase.
Moving into March, we moved the school children to the auditorium of the community church to ensure uninterrupted education during the construction process. By the end of the month, we commenced site clearing and building demolition to prepare for the reconstruction phase. (Pictures attached for your reference.)
Presently, our Procurement Team is actively sourcing materials for the project and coordinating their transportation to the school site. This process is well underway, with construction slated to commence by mid-May.
We are immensely grateful for your continued support and generosity, which have propelled us toward achieving our shared vision of providing a conducive learning environment for the children of Ogunpa Lunloye. Your contributions are making a tangible difference in the lives of these children and the broader community.
Thank you once again for your generosity and unwavering commitment to this project. We look forward to sharing more updates with you as we progress further.
*Ogunpa Lunloye is the name of the Community, not the name of an individual.
