PUT UP HEALTH FACILITY IN ZAMBULKURA FOR 10,000 PEOPLE (54492)
Put up a Health Facility for 10,000 people by Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana (RRHZ) project 54492. We wish to report on activities that took place after our last report. The collaboration with Zambulkura Community Medical Centre (ZCMC), a private clinic is yielding results and impacting positively on the lives of Zambulkura people and people in the surrounding communities such as Tichirigitaba, Jerigittinga, Blemahtinga among others. The collaboration is therefore a win, win situation for both RRHZ, and ZCMC.
One positive aspect of the collaboration is the fact that our health screenings is now carried out at the premiseces of the clinic in Zambulkura. Community members no longer travels on long distances to access health care services at Nalerigu. Particularly, pregnant women in labour do not have to be taken on motorcyles on bumpy roads to Nalerigu to give birth, but they easily come to ZCMC to give birth. The communities members no longer feel relactant to seek health care early due to the proximity to the clinic. The facility however, is facing lots of challenges, that is lacking many important equipment. These important equipment needed includes hospital beds, adult beds, children beds, and baby cods.
Other critical needs of the facility are the need to drill a borehole and acquire a water storage tank for the facility for its water needs. Also, a standby source of electricity power for the facility, preferably clean energy or solar energy. We are grateful to GG Team and all our doners for their donations over the years towards helping to address the health needs of these deprived communities. We are still seeking partnerships with Organizations, Philanthropies, and individuals interested in supporting deprived rural communities to help us acquire the needed equipment for the facility. We intend to expand our services to include eye care and dental care services because these health conditions are affecting the people in these communities. We believe that tackling these health conditions will impact positively on the lives of the people.
To the donors and GlobalGiving Team we say thank you for the great support.
