PUT UP HEALTH FACILITY IN ZAMBULKURA FOR 10,000 PEOPLE (54492)
Update on project (54492) ‘Put up a Health Facility for 10,000 people by Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana (RRHZ). There is a collaboration between a private Clinic, Zambulkura Community Medical Centre ,(ZCMC), and RRHZ which is making healthcare services easily accessible to the people of Zambulkura and its surrounding communities. Since the two Organizations have common interest RRHZ supports ZCMC financially to procure medicines and all the necessary logistics to carry out malaria outreaches in the communities, whilst malaria cases that are not able to be handled in the field are first sent to ZCMC for further treatment, and if any situation is above its capability, such cases are referred to Nalerigu Baptist medical centre hospital for further treatment. The collaboration is therefore a win, win situation for both RRHZ, and ZCMC.
Despite the collaboration, ZCMC still lack many important equipment and logistics to operate effectively. These include hospital beds, bed sheets, and funding to procure regular medications to operate. An equally important need is a borehole to ensure regular supply of clean water for both patients and staff.
Another critical need of the facility is getting a standby source of electricity for the facility, preferably clean energy or solar energy.
Pregnant women from Zambulkura, Tichirigitaba, Jarigitinga, Sumanitinga among other communities now have easy access to give birth safely with the supervision of professional midwives in ZCMC besides the treatment of malaria and other sicknesses.
We are grateful to GG Team and the doners for their donations towards a worthy course. We are still seeking partnerships with Organizations, Philanthropies, and individuals interested in supporting deprived rural communities to help us acquire the needed equipment for the facility. We are hoping to expand our services to include dental services and eye care services since all these health conditions are affecting the people in these deprived communities, which we intend to tackle.
Thanks to our noble donors and GlobalGiving Team for the great support.
