PUT UP HEALTH FACILITY IN ZAMBULKURA FOR 10,000 PEOPLE (54492) Report on ‘Put up a Health Facility in Zambulkura for 10,000 people’(project 54492) by Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana (RRHZ), is the second report of activities of the project for the year 2022. The lack of access to health care delivery to the people of Zambulkura, it’s immediate neighbouring communities, and all the 47 communities under the Sakogu subdistrict with a total population of 36,087 in the East Mamprusi District in the newly created North East Region of Ghana is a clarion call to provide a health facility to give the people quality health care services. So, when the people appealed to RRHZ to establish a health facility in Zambulkura and went further to provide a large tract of land for the construction of the 40- bed capacity health facility, and health workers residences the NGO accepted the request and started raising funds for the project. Construction of two rooms has been put up to serve as wards so far. Raising funds to continue the construction works is ongoing though slowly, to construct delivery and maternity wards, children ward, consulting room, pharmacy, Laboratory, storeroom, and the health workers residences. Even though construction works has not been completed, and the necessary hospital equipment install, RRHZ is using the 2 rooms for malaria screenings and treatment. Raising funds to continue the construction work to the end and opening it for operation remains a topmost agender of Rescue and Restore Hope. After completion of the construction and starting to work 24 hours, it will serve as immunization center, health education, provide antenatal services, deliveries, and handle injuries and emergency cases. At RRHZ, we are very grateful to our awesome donors, and the ever-supportive GG team for the support towards the construction of the health facility in Zambulkura community, where 10,000 people in the immediate communities, and all 47 communities with a total population of 36,087 people in the Sakogu subdistrict stand to benefit. There is still much to be done before the completion and operationalization of the health facility. However, together we shall work to accomplish what we have set up to do. That is to construct the 40-bed capacity health facility and health staff residence in Zambulkura to save the lives of the people. Thank you, we owe all of you lots of gratitude Maxwell Tidow Koligu Founder of Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana
