Moving Ahead: Console Mission’s Community Mission
Console Mission is a learning organisation, shaped by the challenges of community service. Forming committees is often delayed due to lack of funds, even though leadership and participation are essential for progress. Our founders and advisers, including Mrs. Maya, once suggested that money should not be used as a tool. Now, with experience, she recognises that budgeting can be a necessary object to unlock expected change. Console Mission is therefore focusing on financial planning to sustain committee formation and community empowerment.
This effort is not limited to one or four villages where committees have already been formed. In one case, a stakeholder even brought a police team to share essentials during committee formation. Later, leaders realised that such committees could pose risks if not managed carefully. These doubts are part of the learning process, and leaders must grow through them. Console Mission is committed to both fulfilling immediate demands and guiding communities to understand the longterm impact of doing the right thing.
