In the summary parts of this project proosal presented in this GlobalGiving online fundraising platform we have mentioned that "this project is an inspiring initiative to unite 21 villages in rural Nepal called Chaughare, creating an active team to advocate for girls' rights".
The motivation is to empower families, ensuring that every child-especially girls-has access to education. Because based on our studies through the direct interactions and surveys shows parents are either school dropouts, never stepped into the schools especially women or those adults graduated from school did not continue further study. There are causes like unavailability of educational institutes in the area, even if available only few courses are available. The question of the availability and also cost that must be maintained regularly. But there are some students their situations are nothomg different or maybe worst but they did continue and achieved well and suited career based on their qualifications. Dr. Bir Bahadur is an example who worked hard and achieved scholarships from both government and charities. Even after completing his MBBS, he had to fulfill the bond and worked in the Midwestern hospital and one at Lamjung, popular for cultural tourism and home stay. One must live with challenge but should know the importance of education and pleasure that it gives. Dr. Bir is one of the member of Console Mission and since 2015 and until today, he has been a valuable volunteer. This project's geographical area is Chaughare and Dr. Bir's home is there. Console Mission’s volunteers his parents during visit. His parents are though not academically qualified, Dr. Bir since received guidance and interacted with outsiders, he got motivated and built ways to progress career by adopting further education.
Similarly this projects focuses team building, "People's Committee" - Every village, starting from Chaughare have a Committee, strengthening them to be capable to act on the children’s matters, mainly girls who are vulnerable to the social issues.
I personally, the Executive of Console Mission, living in urban has a committee that focuses in the developing like road constructions, electricities and all the facilities. Besides that we also organised Waste Management training by Cleanup Nepal whose Project Coordinator Ms. Karuna Thapa and her colleagues organised training, it was short, demonstration and practice where the committees household's representatives attended. It was in 2019, before the Covid. Console Mission had been in Chaughare since 2018, with the Neglected Tropical Diseases focused project supported through the help of one of the trainee participated in Sustainable Medical Missions training. We did not notice about whether there is specific committee just like what we had in urban. But now since 2024 when we started focusing the community learning centre - Our Study Place, for the sustainability, we formed a committee. But we did not realise that they did not have. They do have only when they have road construction project. Since forest is the most essential and it is related to prevent threat from smuggling, we know that there are Forest Consumer or Protecting Committee and there are Women's committee called Mother's Groups. We did find out about it. But there were no permanent committee. Therefore forming People's Committee called "Ghongwa Tole Sudhar Samiti" translated as Ghongwa Community Development Committee. And another is "Ghurdum Tole Sudhar Samiti". These were formed.
a cornerstone for breaking cycles of inequality and creating lasting change. By working together, we can build a future where every potential is not just recognized but realized, paving the way for a brighter, more equitable, and peaceful.
