Founded in 2022, UA Mental Help is a charitable institution dedicated to protecting and improving the
mental health of Ukrainians, particularly those affected by war. Initially a volunteer initiative, the
organization has since grown into a fully operational foundation, supported by donors such as Americares
and Danish Church Aid. To date, UA Mental Help has provided over 24,000 free psychological
consultations and 15,000+ online chat sessions to more than 14,000 Ukrainians.
Ongoing and Completed Projects
1. Mental Health Support for Ukraine (Jan – May 2024) (Donor: Americares Foundation, Inc.)
Provided psychological consultations using the case management method to improve emotional well-being.
Activities included consultations, supervision sessions, webinars, and an information campaign.
2. Ukraine Mental Health Assistance Program (July – Oct 2024) (Donor: Americares Foundation,
Inc.)
Focused on individuals affected by war, humanitarian workers, and military families. Activities: individual
and group psychological consultations and supervision sessions.
3. Psychological Support for War-Affected Populations (Jan – Dec 2024) (Donor: DanChurchAid)
Targeted vulnerable groups such as IDPs, survivors of violence, veterans, people with disabilities, and others.
Provided psychological consultations, support groups, self-help groups, webinars, training sessions, and
supervision.
4. Brave Together (Since Oct 2023 – Ongoing) (Donor: Maybelline New York)
An international initiative offering psychological support to young people, including LGBTQ+ individuals and
IDPs, through online consultations, training, and chatbot services.
5. Psychological Support Initiative (Donor: Ukrainian National Women’s League of America)
Provides psychological assistance to children, women affected by gender-based violence, and healthcare
workers through individual and group consultations.
6. Psychological Assistance for Children from the "Nadiya" Orphanage (Since Oct 2024 –
Ongoing) (Donor: UNWLA)
Supports orphans through individual and group sessions, art therapy, and developmental activities.
