The first-ever psychological support program for Lebanese women entrepreneurs through the use of Drama Therapy. Intisar Foundation is launching this program in partnership with a local NGO to ensure that women entrepreneurs receive the psychological support needed to improve resilience and tackle work-related burnouts.
Women in business living in Lebanon face constant instabilities both in their personal and professional lives, which results in an increase in stress, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The intensive 12-week Drama Therapy program is designed to improve emotional awareness, create a sense of belonging, tackle trauma, and focuses largely on providing a structured and sequential MHPSS intervention. The program will be implemented over approximately three months, starting with digital data collection using Google Surveys prior to the sessions starting. One week after the program ends, the participants who have attended over 80% of the program.
The vision for providing psychological empowerment to women in business is to increase the rates of self-esteem, while reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression. On the longterm this will cause an increase in the women's positive emotional experiences and decrease negative emotional experiences while creating a sense of community within the group.
